 Only 11 riders are currently signed up, we can accommodate as many as 30.


 SED R2 Western, Gaited, Minis and Hunter 2 day Show is this weekend at Dorey Park! 
 Volunteers are welcome!

SED (R2) Horse Council is offering, again this year, scholarships for $500 to outstanding SED (R2) 4-Hers who are also 2012 High School Seniors (entry form)

The purpose of the Horse project is to help 4-H club members to:

  • Develop leadership, initiative, self-reliance, sportsmanship and other desirable character traits.
  • Experience the pride and responsibility of owning a horse or pony and receive training in its care, feeding, management and related costs.
  • Appreciate horseback riding as a healthy and wholesome form of recreation.
  • Develop skill in horsemanship and patience and understanding in handling horses and ponies.
  • Gain knowledge of safety precautions to prevent injuries to themselves, others and their mounts.
  • Develop greater love for animals and a humane attitude toward them.
  • Prepare for citizenship responsibility by working together in groups and supporting community horse projects and activities.
